I capture the world with big, bold colours, creating expressionistic depictions of flowers, landscapes, urban scenes and beautiful creatures that make impact statements reflecting my unique artistic vision. My passion lies in pushing the ordinary in both my acrylic and watercolour artwork, moving beyond the normal to create my one-of-a-kind style where I apply paint to canvas to achieve vibrancy and attention.
I paint with happy, crazy abandonment, always seeking to bring new energy to my subjects and transform everyday scenes into vibrant visual experiences. My work invites viewers to see familiar subjects through a fresh perspective that celebrates colour and emotional expression.
My Artistic Style
I draw inspiration from what I love most; the beautiful florals that demand attention with their boldness and the breathtaking landscapes that make British Columbia so special. These hallmarks inspire my creativity and define my work. My distinctive expressionistic style mixed with realism allows me to create pieces that transform ordinary scenes into extraordinary visual experiences.
As a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (EFCA), I’ve established myself in the local art community with my vibrant approach to painting.
My Creative Process
My process involves pushing boundaries and exploring new techniques that bring my subjects to life through colour and expression. I invite viewers to see the world through my unique artistic lens, where ordinary landscapes and florals become bold statements of colour and emotion.
My basement studio in Fort Langley serves as both gallery and creative space where, alongside my two pooches, I find both passion and joy in the act of painting. This intimate space allows me to fully dedicate myself to my work, creating pieces that connect with people beyond just mere representation.
